What is sound healing?

Sound healing has a long history, with various cultures recognizing the power of sound for healing and well-being. It's based on the idea that sound vibrations can affect the body's energy and promote healing. Sound healing sessions often involve instruments like singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other healing instruments creating specific frequencies and rhythms to alter the body's vibrational state.

How do I experience a sound bath?

A common term for a sound healing session is "sound bath." There is no right or wrong way to experience a sound bath. Many participants choose to lie down on a yoga mat with a blanket and pillow and "bathe" in the sounds and vibrations. Some participants like to enhance their experience by using a light blocking eye mask. You may experience the sound bath however you are most comfortablewhether that's lying down, sitting on the floor or ground or even in a chair. Your experience is yours to curate.

Benefits you may experience from sound healing:

  • Relaxation and stress reduction: The vibrations can induce a deep state of relaxation and calm.

  • Pain relief: Some practitioners believe sound can help alleviate pain by stimulating touch fibers and affecting pain perception.

  • Improved mental clarity: Sound healing can help to synchronize brain waves, potentially leading to increased mental clarity and focus.

  • Emotional healing: The practice can promote emotional release and balance.
